Incomplete Control #89

“A significant portion of my work on Incomplete Control was spent exploring a more sparse aesthetic, largely inspired by the work of Cy Twombly. IC #89 is a good example of this, with relatively few large features, but dense layers of more subtle lines and shapes. The eye is free to jump around and appreciate individual micro-patterns and moments.”

Incomplete Control is about letting go, allowing room for error and imperfection. It is a meditation on the relation between analogue and computational aesthetics. The output space is a continuous spectrum. Each iteration has its own character to discover and enjoy, if you are willing to give it the time.
