john watkinson“Why are there old-school 3D glasses in the set? Well, we had a pair sitting in our office dating back to when we did some volunteering at an after-school computer clubhouse in Harlem. The kids would take two photos with a digital camera, one slightly displaced horizontally from the other. Then we would merge the red channel from one photo with the blue and green channels from the other in Photoshop, adjust the positioning a bit, and get a surprisingly-convincing 3D photo when viewed through the glasses.”
