john watkinson“Cigarette and pipe smoke are some of the few pixels that are semi-transparent in the entire project. When it came time to do the "Onchain Punks" project in 2021, these pixels with transparencies were very tricky to deal with, as algorithms for doing alpha blending between layers can vary between imaging platforms. We ended up doing a manual look-up table of all possible blending scenarios for these pixels and included that in Onchain Punks smart contract.”
