“Curated has made an effort to collect Ringers in the way they were intentionally designed to be collected and shown - a set that highlights a range of the algorithm's outputs and its diversity. The arrangement and placement of Ringers in a grid is arguably more import than any single edition from the set, and their focus on placement, symmetry and coordination between the Ringers in their collection is one of reasons their grid is compelling. They've also made efforts to collect some of the "named" Ringers, like #911, also known as The Ambulance, which was named by collectors for its resemblance to an ambulance and the fact that its edition is 911.”

“Ringers by Dmitri Cherniak is the embodiment of how simple concepts can have profound outputs. It explores the many ways to wrap a string around a set of pegs. As one of the first Art Blocks Curated collections, Ringers has not only become widely known, but also contains the single most famous piece of generative art — The Goose (Ringers #879).

For us, Ringers is about collecting a grid of pieces that thoughtfully balance each other while showing off the range of the algorithm. Our curation focuses on selective “center of the algorithm” pieces, while opportunistically finding great emergent edges like “The Ambulance” (#911) and “The Comet” (#157).”
Description
There are an almost infinite number of ways to wrap a string around a set of pegs. On the surface it may seem like a simple concept but prepare to be surprised and delighted at the variety of combinations the algorithm can produce. Each output from 'Ringers' is derived from a unique transaction hash and generated in Javascript in the browser. Feature variations include peg count, sizing, layout, wrap orientation, and a few colorful flourishes for good measure.
